What fees does Hasanah charge?

Fee clarity matters. Hasanah separates its platform fee from any optional tip, which makes it easier to understand what goes to the company and what goes to charity.

The fee Hasanah names publicly

Hasanah charges a 2.5% platform fee to help cover operating expenses. That is the main recurring fee to understand before enabling roundups.

How the fee is handled

Unless the service says otherwise, the 2.5% platform fee is deducted from the donor's total roundup amount before funds are distributed through the campaign structure.

How optional tips differ

Hasanah may also offer a voluntary tip. That tip is optional and is kept by Hasanah or Open Fundraise LLC rather than being treated as part of the charitable contribution sent to the nonprofit.

More questions

Is the tip required to use Hasanah?

No. The tip is optional and not required to use the service.

Does the nonprofit receive the platform fee amount?

No. The platform fee is retained to cover operating expenses and is not part of the charitable contribution routed onward.

Should I review fee details before enrollment?

Yes. Fee treatment changes the amount ultimately treated as charitable giving, so it is worth reviewing carefully.
