Weekly roundup donation cycle: what to expect

Understanding the cycle matters because it explains when roundups stop accumulating, when payment is initiated, and why the donated amount changes from one week to the next.

Why a weekly cycle is easier to follow

A weekly cadence is frequent enough to keep giving active and visible, but not so constant that donors feel spammed with notifications or tiny account movements.

What closes each cycle

At the end of the active period, Hasanah calculates the total roundup amount and initiates the applicable ACH debit from the funding account, subject to pause, skip, or cancellation controls that were exercised before the cutoff.

What can affect the amount

The weekly total depends on your transaction volume, the timing of posting versus pending activity, and whether any items were excluded because they were reversed, disputed, canceled, or otherwise ineligible.

More questions

Can I move the cycle to a different day?

The recurring day is based on enrollment.

Does the same dollar amount debit every week?

No. The debit varies because the roundup total varies.

Can Hasanah notify me about the weekly debit?

Yes. Scheduled debit notices may be delivered through the app, push notifications, email, SMS, or other electronic means.
